About the Commission

Restoring our natural environment is central to Labour Party’s programme of national renewal. This year, the Make Britain a Clean Energy Superpower Commission is focusing on how we protect and rebuild Britain’s environment while delivering clean, home grown energy.

This consultation will examine how we improve access to nature and green spaces, clean up our rivers, lakes and seas, cut pollution and support the transition to clean power. We will explore how environmental restoration strengthens energy security, supports families and businesses with the cost of living, and creates green jobs across the country.

After years of failure on energy and the environment, Labour is taking decisive action to protect billpayers, secure Britain’s energy independence and reform the water system. By restoring our natural world and accelerating the clean energy mission, we will safeguard our environment and deliver renewal.
